(Peppers).

UJ: La, la, la. Oh, hi there!

P: Wow, wow, wow!

UJ: Well, you know I’m so… excited because we are getting ready for … Christmas!!!

P: Oh! Christmas!

UJ: That’s right! Here is my drum! Where is your trumpet? OK! Get up! Here we go!

UJ: Peppers, are you OK? Peppers, what’s wrong? Don’t stop now!

P: Oh, uncle Jim, I have tangled up in this tinsel. (Дядюшка помогает Пипасу выпутаться) Thank you, uncle Jim.

UJ:You are welcome!

P: (указывая на елку) Oh, uncle Jim, look – the TREE…!!!

UJ: Yes, it looks so nice!

Звучит песня “I’d like to be a Christmas tree” и девочки танцуют танец маленьких елочек.

I’d like to be a Christmas tree
With lots of coloured lights on me
I’d shine my star so bright above
To tell the world of Jesus love

P: Can we turn on the lights now, uncle Jim? Can we turn on the lights?

UJ: I will tell you Peppers, I would save it for later. You know why? Because these are very special lights.

P: Oh, very special lights?...

UJ: Because Christmas is a very special time, Peppers. Do you know why Christmas is so special?

P: Oh, I know, I know – PRESENTS! We get presents!

UJ: Oh, yes, that’s right! We get presents and we give presents. There is something else. Do you know what?

P: Oh, yes, we sing Christmas carols. La la la.

UJ: And we visited relatives and friends, and we eat cookies and we eat cakes and all sorts of fun things. You know that, my friend? Do you know something else?

P: Something else? Presents? Food? O-o-o-o Presents? Food?...

UJ: I’ll give you the little hint. Christmas is someone’s birthday!

P: Of course it’s my friend’s birthday. He was born in December.

UJ: Well, yes… but you know it’s someone else birthday as well. Do you know whose special birthday we celebrate in Christmas time? (обращается к залу) That’s right! It’s the birthday of Jesus!

P: Oh, I knew that. I forgot.

UJ: Oh, I know it’s easy to forget something, Peppers. That’s why I put a special manger thing over there. Would you see it? Let’s go! Come on!

P: Oh, It’s beautiful.

Isn’t Peppers? You see this is a stable where Jesus was born. Look! There is an oxen and the wise men and here is Joseph, and here is Mary. And you see these people here? These are shepherds. They came to visit Jesus on the night when he was born. And this, Peppers, it’s a baby Jesus – a new born king!

Chorus:

Sing Noel, Noel, Ring the Christmas bells.
Ding! Dong! Ding! Everybody sing to the New born King
Every boy and every girl Ding! Dong! Ding!
Open up your heart and sing to the New born King!

Chorus: (3 times)

UJ: Hey, Peppers! I have an idea! Why don’t we dress up like shepherds?

P: I’d like getting dressed up!

UJ: OK, let’s go!

P: OK!

UJ: Peppers, after you!

P: OK! Oh, look, look, we are shepherds!

UJ: Hey, Peppers, you look great!

P: And you look good too, uncle Jim.

UJ: Thank you , Peppers.

P: 0h, Uncle Jim, how Jesus was born in an old building, where animals kept? Why wasn’t he born in the hospital?

UJ: Well, Peppers, in order to answer to this question you would need to know the story of Christmas. You see, that happened many many years ago, about 2 thousand years ago.

P: Two thousand years ago?

UJ:Yes, and in those days people didn’t have any airplanes or any cars.

P: No airplanes? No cars?

UJ: Or even hospitals.

P: No hospitals!? Oh, I never knew that.

UJ: Why don’t we watch the play about Jesus birth?

P: OK, why not? Children, you can come with us!

Reader: At this time Wise men were asking:

The first: Where is this new born king of Jesus?

The second: We are to find him.

The third: It’s our duty to visit him.

The first: So, let’s start. We must hurry up. We have no time to waste.

The second: Of course. But which way shall we go? I think there must be a special signal.

The third: Look! Look! The star! I’m sure it’s the signal from God! It shows us the way.

The first: Then let’s go. Let’s go and see this special child.

Reader: And the three Wise men hurried up the way lit by the star.

Little shepherd: What’s his name?

Mary: His name is Jesus.

Reader: And that’s the story of the very first Christmas, when God sent us Jesus, his son.

P: That was wonderful, wonderful story, uncle Jim.

UJ: And do you know, Peppers, after that Jesus spent his whole lifetime doing good and helping others?

P: Of course, I do. Everyone knows about it. That’s why we celebrate Christmas every year. It’s my favourite holiday, uncle Jim.

UJ: I see, you love it. Let’s get ready to turn on the lights.

P: But how, uncle Jim?

UJ: I’ve got some presents and it’s time to put them under the Christmas tree.

P: This is my favourite part! I’d like to see to whom each present belongs to…

UJ: You can help me… This one is for Mary

P: This one is for Boris.

UJ: And another one is for Nick.

P: This is for my friend Smoky.

UJ: Well, Peppers, that’s all about presents.

P: Oh, uncle Jim, one present is missing.

UJ: 1 2 3 …. No, Peepers, I don’t think so. All are there.

P: Oh, Oh, then, I don’t understand…

UJ: What don’t you understand, Peepers?

P: I thought Christmas was the birthday of Jesus. Where is his present then? Don’t we usually give presents when it is their birthday?

UJ: You are quite right here. If it is a birthday of Jesus, it must be a present for him too.

P: Oh, yes, yes!

UJ: What can we give him?

P: Oh, I don’t know. Oh, may be those children in the hall can tell us?

A shepherd boy – What can I give him?

As small as I am
If I were a shepherd
I’d give him a lamb
If I were a wiseman
I’d do my part
I know what I’ll give his,
I’ll give him my heart!

P: Oh, that amazing!

UJ: And remember, we have Jesus in our hearts, he is our friend forever! Merry Christmas to all of you!!!

“Come and see Jesus”

People were going about their own way, no one noticed at all,
Except a few shepherds and three Wise Men, who came to the manger stall.
There in the stable the baby so sweet was held in his mothers arms
And high in the sky a big star shone so bright and angels sang the song:

Chorus:
Come and see Jesus, come and see love
He is your Savior, your king from above!
Come and see Jesus, God’s Holy Son!
Jesus is waiting to give you His love, so come everyone!

There in that small, humble Bethlehem town dear Baby Jesus was born.
Mary, his mother, was smiling with joy, making sure He was happy and warm.
Sleeping near donkeys and oxen that night. Heaven protected His way.
His birthday is Christmas, and still you can here the angels singing today.

Chorus.
