Цели:

  • Развивающая: развивать психологические характеристики мыслительной деятельности учащихся, включая внимание, память, логическое мышление, вовлечь школьников в активную речевую деятельность.
  • Воспитательная:
    Способствовать расширению знаний о Британской королевской семье;
    – Содействовать повышению интереса и мотивации к изучению английского языка.

  • Аудиозапись, магнитофон;
  • Компьютер;
  • Проектор.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент.

T: Hello everybody! I’m glad to see you.

II. Фонетическая зарядка.

T: When you were little your mothers read you poems and rhymes. Let’s read one of the most popular English rhemes “Pussycat, Pussycat”. (Приложение 1. Слайд 1.)

And now Let's sing!

While you are singing you should guess what we are going to speak about at our lesson.

(После прослушивания ученики высказывают свое мнение.)

P1: I think….

P2: I’m sure….

P3: I suppose…

T: You are right. We are going to speak about British Royal Family and at the end of our lesson you will meet the Queen.

T: As you know Pussycat has been to London. And you?
Have you ever been to London?
What countries have you been to?
When did you visit…?
When did you go there?
What is the capital of?

(Учитель задает вопросы, реагируя на ответы учащихся и зная, что многие из них отдыхали летом в Испании, Турции, Греции, зимой – в Финляндии, Норвегии.)

So in the world there are a lot of countries and people of different nationalities. Read the table and talk about each person using the information  (Слайд 2.)
P1, P2, P3, P4… (Suggested answers: Ann is from England. London is the capital of England. London is in the south-east of England. Ann is English)

Listening – Multiple choice
T: Let’s return to London. You are going to listen to the text. Study the questions carefully and choose the right answer. (Click On 2 St. Book p.163.)

T: And now you are going to watch and describe the pictures about the British Royal Family. Презентация.
(Ученики описывают слайды, к слайдам, содержащим новую информацию учитель дает пояснение к неизвестным фактам.)

T: You have just watched the presentation. What new facts have you known?

P1, P2, P3… – give answers.

On the blackboard you can see words, dates, names, numbers. Make up a full story about British Royal Family. You work in groups (3 groups). Each group will present its own version of the story.

T: And now imagine the situation. You have a chance to meet the Queen and ask Her Majesty some questions. What questions would you like to ask her. (One of the girls is wearing a hat, scarf round her neck, carrying a handbag.)

Students ask her questions:

  • Your Majesty, have you got any hobby?
  • Your Majesty, what was your favourite subject?
  • Your Majesty, how many letters do you get every day?
  • Your Majesty, how do you spend your free time?
  • Your Majesty, where do you usually spend your summer holidays?
  • Your Majesty, do you believe in legend about black ravens in the Tower?
  • Your Majesty, where do you celebrate Christmas?
