- Две команды (мальчики и девочки или по желанию самих ребят)
- Жюри – учащиеся 11-х классов (2-3 человека)
Ход мероприятия
- 1 этап. Подготовительный.
Приветствие жюри, участников, учителей. «Разогревающие» вопросы для участников, разделение на команды, представление команд. - 2 этап. Основной.
Выполнение заданий и их оценивание жюри. - 3 этап. Заключительный.
Подсчёт заработанных баллов, подведение итогов, пожелание на будущее, награждение.
Teacher: Hello, dear boys and girls, teachers and parents. I’m glad to see you. Today we are going to talk about animals. So our meeting today is called “In the animals’ world”. I know that some of you have pets at home. Am I right?
Pupils: Yes, we have. (You are right!)
Teacher: So, what pets are they?
Pupil 1: I have got a cat. Its name is….
Pupil 2: I’ve got a dog. Its name is….
Pupil 3: I’ve got a parrot. Its name is….
Pupil 4: And I’ve got a hamster…
Pupil 5, 6, 7… (по желанию)
Teacher: And do you love your pets? Do you take care of them? How do you do that?
Pupil 1, 2, 3: Of course, we love our pets. We feed and wash them, walk and play with them… etc.
Teacher: It is so good, that you have pets at home, and you take care of them (I see that you really love them and your pets have real friends). And now let’s start our competition. Make two (three) groups now. Are you ready? Now make up the name for your group.
Учащиеся делятся на две (три) команды и придумывают название.
Teacher: Very well. Introduce your team, please.
The 1st team: Our team is “Funny little hens” (девочки)
The 2nd team: We are “Brave lions” (мальчики)
(Учащиеся представляют свои команды)
Teacher: Well, our first task. It’s very easy for you. Just name the animal (wild or domestic). One team after another. That team who tell the last name of the animal get a point.
Команды называют по очереди животных; одно очко получает та команда, которая называет животное последней.
Teacher: I see that you know lots of animals. That’s good. And do you know the poems about them? Of course, you do! Let’s listen to each other! Again one team after another. And our judges listen to you very attentively.
Ребята от каждой команды по очереди рассказывают стихотворения о животных. Если рассказчик забыл строчку, другой участник этой же команды может ему помочь. За каждое стихотворение жюри присуждают 2 балла (можно использовать жетоны). Если были допущены ошибки или были паузы в стихах – 1 балл. (стишки смотреть в приложении).
Teacher: Good. L see you really know a lot of poems about animals .And now let’s see can you guess what animal is in the cassette. Listen. If you know the animal raise your hand. The pictures on the blackboard will help you. Участники каждой команды по очереди называют животное, звуки которого они слушают на кассете. За каждый правильный ответ – 1 балл (жетон). Оценивает жюри.
Teacher: Well done. And now listen to the description of animals and guess again: if the first team can’t give the answer the second team can do it. So, listen.
Команды внимательно слушают описание животных, отвечают по очереди. За каждый правильный ответ – 1 жетон (балл):
Teacher:
- I’m green. I’m long. I live in water. I can swim. I can’t jump. I live in Africa. (a crocodile).
- I’m white. I can jump and run. I can’t swim, climb. I don’t like foxes. (a hare).
- I’m red. I can jump and run. I live in the forest. I have got a beautiful fluffy tail. (a fox).
- I’m big. I’m grey. I live in Africa. I like grass and fruit. . I have got very big ears and a very long nose. (an elephant).
- I’m brown. I’m big. . I can jump, run and climb. I like honey very much. (a bear).
- I’m yellow and brown. I can run but I can’t jump. I’m very tall. I like to eat grass and leaves. l live in Africa. (a giraffe).
- I live in the water: in the rivers, seas, oceans. I can’t say anything. . I can swim very well. (a fish).
- I can fly. I am clever. I can sing and say different words. I can’t swim. (a parrot).
- I am a very funny animal. I can jump and climb very quickly. I can hang by my tail. I like bananas very much! (a monkey).
Teacher: That’s enough. Thank you. You know animals very well. And now I want to listen to your stories about your favourite animals or pets. You have three minutes. Get ready and tell us about your favourite animal.
Учащиеся готовят устные ответы в течение трех минут о своем любимом животном или домашнем питомце. Затем один участник от каждой команды рассказывает о нем. Жюри оценивает (2 балла - за хороший ответ, 1 балл – если есть некоторые ошибки).
Teacher: How wonderful! You know so much about your pets and favourite animals. I am glad. And now your next tasks for you. Look at them. The first task is to complete the words correct letters. If everything is right, you will get two points for this task. And the second task is to solve the crossword about animals, of course. If you do it correctly, you will get 2 points again. You have 5 minute. Let’s start!
Ребята выполняют два письменных задания на карточках. За точно выполненные задания они получают по 2 балла. Если есть некоторые ошибки – 1 балл. Если не справились – 0 баллов.
1 задание: заполнить пропуски в словах.
2 задание: разгадать кроссворд.

- A red animal that lives in the forest.
- A wild animal from Africa and India. It likes to have a shower.
- This wild animal which can live in the sea and on the ground. It likes grass, leaves, fruit and vegetables. Some children keep it as a pet at home.
Teacher: So you have finished. Our respected judges will check your works. And we are doing the next task. You know lots of poems about animals; you can tell and write about them. But now want to see how well you can draw them. One pupil from each team comes to the blackboard. Of course, it is a very simple task. But I have just one little note: you must draw the animal with closed eyes! So, the first picture must be a mouse, the second one is an elephant, (and the third one is a pig, a horse …etc.)
На доске прикреплены два (три) листа формата А3 или А2. От каждой команды представители рисуют на бумаге свое животное (с завязанными глазами). После этого вместе оцениваем «картины», жюри записывает баллы.
Teacher So beautiful! I even didn’t know that you could draw so nice. Very good! And now, while our judges count your marks I suggest you to dance a little.
Можно включить запись песни на английском языке о каком-либо животном и раздать детям распечатки с текстом песни, чтоб они могли танцевать и одновременно подпевать.
Teacher: How wonderful we can sing! Let’s applause to ourselves! Good. Take your places, please. And now the word is given to our fair judges.
После музыкальной паузы слово предоставляется жюри. Жюри называет количество баллов, заработанное командами в письменном задании, и подводит итог (общее количество баллов).
Teacher: We thank our judges. Did you like our competition, Hens and Lions? Let’s draw a conclusion to our today’s meeting. You know lots about animals – your score (points) show it to us. But now I want to say once more: take care of your pets, take care of wild animals, take care and love all the nature. Don’t forget that all of you are a part of nature, a part of the animal’s world.
