Цели урока:

  1. Совершенствование коммуникативных навыков учащихся.
  2. Воспитание правильного отношения к дружбе.

Задачи урока:

  1. Учебный аспект: тренировка в употреблении лексических единиц темы и формирование умения анализировать англоязычный и русскоязычный тексты.
  2. Развивающий аспект: развитие языковой догадки, творческого мышления, навыков художественного стихотворного перевода.

  1. Тематическая презентация к уроку, проектор, магнитофон.

1. Greeting (В начале урока демонстрируется видеоклип «Улыбка»)

Teacher: Good morning, dear boys and girls! I’m glad to see you. At the beginning of our lesson you have been listened to your favourite song .And you know it is devoted to friends. We all understand how important it is to have a true friend in our life. What is FRIENDSHIP? The main aim of this lesson is speaking about friendship and friends.

2. Warm-up activities

Teacher: We often say « A friend in need is a friend indeed».What does it mean?

Translate this English proverb:

Make new friends
But keep the old
One is silver and the other gold!

Teacher: How can you describe a friend? Let’s remember some words on this theme.

If we speak about character so we use the following adjectives.

Pupils: Character (kind, true, gentle, optimistic, realistic, loving, shy…)

Appearance (straight, curly, small, handsome, slim, attractive, pretty…)

Teacher: I know you all have a riddle about your friend and now we can try to guess it.

Pupil: She is my school-mate. She‘s 15.My girl-friend is very kind and sporty. She likes to play volleyball in our school team. She does well at school. Her hobby is writing poems. She is good-looking and merry. Sometimes she is shy. She is tall, thin. Her name is … (Sveta)

Pupils read their riddles.

4. Reading (Презентация)

Творческое задание:

  • 1 группа: выполняет художественный перевод стихотворения;
  • 2 группа: составляет синквейн.

Учащиеся читают свои варианты перевода и синквейны.

Why God made friends

God made the world with a heart full of love,
Then He looked down from Heaven above,

And saw that we all need a helping hand,
Someone to share with, who’ll understand.

He made special people to see us through
The glad times and the sad times, too;

A person on whom we can always depend,
Someone we can call a friend.

5. Speaking

Teacher: Now you can share your opinions. What do you think about friendship and your friends?

P1: I have a lot of friends and I think we have much in common: we like sport …we understand each other.

P2: I like to be around my girl-friend because she knows a lot of interesting stories and she is fond of reading as me.

P3: I believe a friend is one who will come where I ask him to anytime if I ask.

P4: Friendship is about helping each other.

P5: Many people believe friendship means complete trust and openness in relations.

Teacher: I have prepared a surprise for you. There are a lot of new wishes in this magic box.

(В ярко оформленной коробочке находятся цветные карточки со словами-пожеланиями, каждый ученик вытягивает одно слово-пожелание и читает его вслух).

6. Итоги урока, выставление оценок, объяснение домашнего задания (сочинение о друге).
