Цели и задачи:

  • повысить мотивацию учащихся к изучению иностранного языка;
  • расширить кругозор учащихся;
  • воспитывать доброжелательность, толерантность, ответственность за порученное задание, умение работать в команде, чувство товарищества и сопереживания;
  • развивать логическое мышление, внимание, память, языковую догадку .

Учащиеся работают в группах, за каждое правильно выполненное задание команды получают баллы. В конце соревнований подводится итог.

They are all married. Each has a wife from another country: France, Russia, Italy and Spain.

Each man has a hobby: fishing, sailing, collecting stamps, computer games.

Brides and Grooms

There are three brides named Miss Jones, Miss Lane and Miss Brown, and three grooms named Mr Smith, Mr Wiliams and Mr Black.

Mr Smith says that he is going to marry Miss Jones.

Miss Jones says that her future husband is Mr Williams.

Mr Williams says that he is going to marry Miss Lane.

All three are lying.
